Gold Group The focus of this group is to prepare athletes in the 9-10 and 11-12 age groups for competitive success at the state, regional and national level. This preparation will take place in an environment of mutual trust and respect among coaches, parents and athletes. In preparing for competitive success, the methodology employed in this group will emphasize understanding and executing technical skills with both mind and body that will prepare the young people for long-term success in and out of the pool. To this end, in order to be considered for placement in the Gold group, athletes need to fit the following criteria…

-          Be between 9 and 13 years of age

-          11-12 BB time standards in 2 of the 4 competitive stroke disciplines

-          Able to complete 5 x 100 free @ 1:30 interval

-          Able to complete 5 x 100 kick @ 2:00 interval

-          Has had at least 2 seasons of year-round swimming experience, with at least one season having been spent in the NCAC Silver group, where they need to demonstrate commitment to their swimming by attending 85% of practices

-          Be willing and able to attend 80% of practices offered

Gold Summer 2013 Practice Schedule :

          Monday 5:55-8:00pm

          Tuesday 5:30-8:00pm

          Wednesday 6:00-8:00pm

          Thursday 8:00-9:30am AND 6:30-8:00pm

          Friday 6:00-8:00pm

          Saturday TBA
